2006 Polaris Ranger XP
The RANGER XP takes the 4 x 4 off-road utility vehicle to
the next level. RANGER XP is powered by a liquid-cooled Polaris 700
twin-cylinder EFI engine pumping out 40 hp – the highest allowed by law. Its
specs shatter the status quo and include a 50 mph top speed and 1750 lb. towing
capacity. It’s the first utility vehicle with Electronic Fuel Injection for
fast starts even in extreme temperatures and altitudes.
The Polaris Ranger feels more at home on the farm or out hunting
than it does in the dunes. But if you are looking to haul around more people,
and aren't wanting to do any real hard core duning, this could be the UTV for
you.
There are lots of aftermarket accessories for Polaris Rangers,
but more of them tend to be geared towards work. Snow plows, weed eater
racks and winches. Not much in terms of long travel kits.
Seating
It is hard to call the Polaris Ranger XP a
"side-by-side" when it is the only UTV with seating for three straight
from the factory. We have seen six in them at the sand dunes in Glamis with a
custom roll cage and seats in the bed.
Size
The big thing about the Polaris Ranger is its size. This
thing is just a lot bigger than a Rhino or RZR. About the same size as the
Prowler.
113" Long, 60" Wide and 75" Tall.
Dry weight is 1185 lbs, but it is built to carry 1000lbs. in
the bed!
