Product ReviewUltimate engine block for GM’s popular LS-series engines?"Warhawk LS7X" aluminum block by World ProductsThe Warhawk LS7X block allows for up to 454 C.I.D. in a small block and it is perfectly suited for high compression, nitrous and forced induction engines. The block is cast from 357-T6 aluminum which helps prevent the head studs from being physically stripped out of the engine block under high cylinder pressures. Warhawk block also adds provisions for two additional head studs per cylinder to increase clamping load on the head. And to prevent “ballooning” of the sleeve when pressure is applied, the Warhawk has .100" dry sleeves backed by .300" aluminum. That’s almost 50% more than a C5R block.
The Warhawk block can reliably handle 454 C.I.D. This is accomplished by increasing the deck height to 9.800 inches. This allows a 4.250-inch crank to be used without putting the wristpin in the piston ring land. Many other features of the Warhawk block make it a perfect starting point for ultra high performance sand cars. Features:
