Installation
The LEAD-DOG Helmet Light
was installed on a
two-stroke 2001 Yamaha Blaster.
The wiring looked intimidating in the package.
However, once opened, the directions walked you through the installation
easily. My neighbor put it on for me, and it only took about 15 minutes.
When
attaching the light to the helmet, make sure you have a clean surface to
attach the Velcro. Test fit the light in the desired location with a friend
"holding" the light in place. Check to make sure the light won't be shining
too high or too low. Once you are happy with the location, attach the Velcro
permanently.
Conclusion
The LEAD-DOG Helmet Light
provided more light ahead than the stock Blaster head lights and they work
well off to the side when scouting for trails or looking for bends.
The downside of my 2-stroke is it has no
battery and you have to have your quad running to have the light work.
It takes some getting used to, since you’re
attached to the quad with a plug. When back at camp, remember to disconnect
yourself before getting off the quad.
