Dumont Trip Report

President's Weekend 2005

Our "camp" in Baker on the way to Dumont.

The road in was wet and backed up because of the river crossing. 
It rained pretty hard on Friday night before we got there. BLM actually
shut down the river crossing on Friday night for a few hours.

We camped with the the folks from Suspensions Unlimited:

We spent a day over in Death Valley checking out the Ibex Dunes. Unfortunately, these
dunes are in Death Valley National Park and in a designated Wilderness Area. No OHVs
allowed on the dunes, and only street legal vehicles are allowed on the roads in Death Valley.

The line leaving Dumont on Monday was long. Stretched all the way past the vendors.
