Coos Bay: The largest riding area at the Oregon Dunes
stretches between Spinreel Campground and Horsfall Road. A few miles north of
North Bend/Coos Bay, this road leads to Horsfall dunes and a beach access.
Another access is Hauser Sand Rd, which links the Horsfall dunes to the beach.
If you are looking for adventure, you can find it amongst the designated
sand roads, dunes and forests in this riding area. Year round beach access is
and added bonus to those who enjoy a ride along the shore. This area has a
midnight curfew. Forest Service Campgrounds with sand access in this area are
Spinreel, Horsfall and Horsfall Beach. An overflow camping area is opened at
Hauser during Memorial, 4th of July and Labor Day weekends. In addition, the
private Oregon Dunes KOA campground near Hauser provides sand access for OHVs.
Two private rental companies, Far West and Spinreel Rentals, furnish ATV
rentals or tours.

Location: Located 11 miles south of Reedsport on Spinreel
Road in Coos County, Oregon.
Directions: From Reedsport, travel 11 miles south on highway 101 to
the Spinreel Road exit. Proved ½ mile to the campground.

Private campground, near Hauser day use area. The Oregon Dunes KOA is a very nice site. Each camping
site is a good size. Mostly gravel so parking for toys is adequate.
Downside is distance to dunes from the campground. All sites have water,
electric, sewer, and TV hookups. There are a few big sites available: 70 - 75
ft. Kabins and Tent sites are also available if you don't have an RV.
Location: North Bend, Oregon.
Directions: Milemarker 229 on US 101. North of Coos Bay, and
South of Reedsport.

Weekend, July 4th and Labor Day Weekend. It is located closer to the dunes
than the KOA.

Directions: From North Bend, proceed north 1.5 miles to
Jordan Cove Road. Turn left and proceed 1 mile, turning right on Transpacific
Highway. Travel 100 feet turning right on Horsfall Beach Road. Proceed ½ mile
and turn right into the Horsfall Campground & Day Use Area.
